Blow Molding
Blow molding
creates hollow parts with complex turns or irregular shapes. Our capabilities
include both traditional blow molding and co-extrusion blow molding
with three dimensional production capability. The 3-D co-extrusion process
allows us to utilize dual materials to produce single-piece, complex
parts with both rigid and flexible features. |

Process
Description:
Traditional Extrusion Blow Molding
- A hollow tube of molten plastic, called a parison, is extruded
then captured between two chilled mold halves. Compressed air
is introduced into the closed mold, forcing the parison to take
the mold shape.
3D Co-Extrusion Blow Molding - Co-extrusion
introduces dual materials, such as plastic and rubber, into
the same mold. The parison is deformed, manipulated, and moved
directly into the mold cavity to allow pinchless production
of complex articles.
