Thermoforming
Standard thermoforming is a low-pressure process used
to mold less detailed, shallow parts for lightweight protection or large
decorative parts. Single sheet molding up to .400" wall thickness.
Quick turn-around for prototype models.
Process
Description
A softened sheet of plastic is placed in an open mold. The
air below the sheet is evacuated, forcing the sheet to form
to the contours of the mold.
